Wine Tasting Social

Friday, March 11th 6-9PM – Save the date for OLG’s Inaugural Wine Tasting Social (see attached flyer that was also sent in the family envelope). This is a special opportunity to raise funds for our school while having fun and strengthening our parent community! Two key things to highlight for this event:

1) The event cost to attend the event: $25 per family OR bottle of wine $25 retail value. The money/wine raised from this social event will be used for auction items for OLG’s Silent Auction.

2) There will also be opportunity to buy cases of the wines we will be tasting at the event. 15% of sales proceeds of any wine cases purchased at the event will be given back to OLG School and will be specifically used towards OLG’s Young At Art Program.

Flyer attached!

If any parents have any questions, please feel free to contact Jan Vega ([email protected]).

Principal’s Message – 1/26/16

Dear Our Lady of Guadalupe School,

Last week we had a wonderful turn-out for TK/Kinder Info night and today our junior high students traveled to St. Joseph’s Catholic School for their Mock Academic Decathlon. As a principal, I was proud of our decathletes for representing their school so well. They were well-prepared, respectful, and enjoyed the opportunity to train with Decathletes from other schools. We are looking forward to hosting February’s Mock Decathlon here at OLG with the actual Academic Decathlon taking place Sunday, March 13th at the Walter Pyramid Center in Long Beach.

Our second graders had a field trip to the Natural History Museum, and our fifth graders will take a walking field trip to the Hermosa Beach Library this week. Our basketball teams (all 4 of them!) are now in full swing and next week we celebrate Catholic Schools Week. Whew!
