Parents

IMG_4181Our Lady of Guadalupe would not be the school it is today if it were not for the remarkable support of our parents who support their child(ren) through volunteering.

We are grateful for the volunteers on the Parent Teacher Organization, and those that help yearly with the fundraising events we hold for our school yearly:

  • Golf Tournament
  • Secret Santa Shop
  • Jog-a-thon
  • Casino Night
  • Parish Fiesta
  • …and more.

Parent Agreement

Tuition alone does not cover the total cost of your child’s education; therefore, every family is required to fulfill 40 hours of service to the school/parish and to participate with the four major fundraising activities of the school/parish. These fundraisers and activities take place throughout the school year. There will be ample opportunities to sign up for parent service opportunities at the beginning of each school year.

Although there is a variety of fundraising opportunities throughout the year that support our school programs, PTO, sports, etc. (Jog-a-thon, Casino Night, Golf Tournament, etc.), there are only three fundraisers that require your participation and support:

1. Scrip Program: Generate at least $200 in profit or buy out.

2. Parish Fiesta: Work at least one 4-hour shift.

3. OLG Fiesta Raffle: Buy or sell at least 2 $50 tickets.

The fulfillment of these financial and service responsibilities is the basis for your child’s re-admission for the following school year, along with your child’s academic progress and discipline record.

Drive-Thru Procedures

Morning Drive-Thru (Drop Off)

The gate will open at 7:45am. Please note that Preschool Drop-Off takes place between 7:00-8:00am so there will be a coned off area near the drive-thru entrance for preschool drop-off. Preschool parents will then join our drive-thru to exit.

To keep drive-thru running smoothly, there will be no parent parking on campus. Also, please wait for a teacher before letting your child out of the car. All cars must wait for the cars in front of them and remain in the drive-thru line at all times, i.e. cars may not pull out of line to go around other cars.

Afternoon Drive-Thru (Pick Up)

The gate will open at 2:50pm. Once again, to keep drive-thru running smoothly, there will be no parent parking on campus. All cars must wait for the cars in front of them and remain in the drive-thru line at all times, i.e. cars may not pull out of line to go around other cars. If your child is not getting picked up in Drive-Thru, he/she will be dismissed to the Gazebo where parents will be waiting. Parents may only use the church stairs and exit gate to meet their children at the Gazebo. Students will not be dismissed directly from the classrooms. Any children not picked up by 3:15pm, will be escorted to the Extended Care Program by an OLG staff member.

Thank you for helping us keep your children safe!
